I liked the open world format and it did make things grander in their scale. If you have played the other Dead Rising games, Dead Rising 3 will feel very familiar for you. It features that same over the top zombie killing action that the other games did. You are free to screw around if you like, do side missions and of course complete the story. Capcom has brought back the ability to combine weapons to make more crazy stuff, but they have also allowed you to combine certain vehicles together too which is a lot of fun.

You can now do this when you like and you do not have to worry about finding a workstation to do it. This is something I am very happy that they put in.

Dead Rising 3 also has a multiplayer aspect to it. You can play through it with a buddy and there are plenty of game modes that you can do. While I only dabbled a little bit with the multiplayer, it worked very well and was a nice addition to the game. I think that Dead Rising 3 is a great entry to the series.
